SALE Festival is set to kick off in fine style with a diary packed with fun-filled attractions for all the family.
The event will run from June 4 to 26 with activities including dance, drama, a quiz and celebrations for the Queen's birthday,  to name a few.
There is a feast of entertainment to set the ball rolling on June 4 - with a farmers' market on School Road (9.30am), 'celebrate Sale Festival' at the Square Shopping Centre (11am) and the Sale Cruising Club boat parade (2pm).
Other highlights include a showing of the BAFTA award winning film 'Marvellous' about the extraordinary life of Neil Baldwin, who confounds all expectations, at 7.30pm on June 14 at the Robert Bolt Theatre.
His friend,  Malcolm Clarke, whose part is played in the film, is a Sale resident and will answer questions with Neil after the film. Entrance is free.
The Mike Hall Jazz Quartet will perform with the Sale Grammar School Swing Band at Waterside Arts Centre at 7.30 on June 17.
Other attractions are: 
* Festival pub quiz night, the Belmore Hotel, Brooklands Road, at 8.45pm on June 6.
* Australian-born classical guitarist Craig Ogden plays in the Chambers, Sale Waterside, 7.30pm on June 10. Tickets £18/£7 for under 16s.
* Sale Brass Band celebrates the Queen’s 90th birthday – with special guests Di Voci Choir  - 7.30pm, June 11 in the Waterside Theatre. Tickets are £8.00 (concessions £7).
* A party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday at St Paul’s Church, Springfield Road at 1pm June 12.
* David Walliams' noveL 'Ratburger'  in Walkden Gardens - 4pm on June 12. Tickets from Waterside Box Office £13/£9 conc. Family (2+2) £37. Seating is not provided so bring a picnic and something to sit on.
