SALE High School’s science club have embarked on an out-of-this-world horticultural project.
In partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society and the UK Space Agency, Sale High is taking part in the Rocket Science project.
This involves schools growing seeds which have been cultivated in space and comparing them to ordinary seeds.
Students are recording their findings over the coming weeks and they will eventually be inputted into a national database.
The project is aimed at inspiring pupils to think scientifically and helping them to see the potential of future careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) and Horticulture.
