TWENTY-NINE creative children were presented with well-deserved prizes, as the winners of Trafford Music Service’s drawing competition attended their awards ceremony.

Children were asked to draw their favourite musical instrument and state why they loved it so much.

Even though they work in every school in Trafford and have more than 600 children studying music at their Claremont Centre, Trafford Music Service (TMS) staff were taken aback with more than 3,000 entries.

Prizes included a Kindle Fire each and a day at a TMS school holiday club, or membership of a TMS ensemble, all run from the centre in Sale.

The awards ceremony, timed to celebrate a year since TMS moved to Sale, was attended by the Mayor of Trafford, Cllr John Holden, who presented medals and businesses who donated the Kindle Fires.

Music was provided by one of the TMS ensembles, the up and coming Jazz Collective.
