ST Paul's Church Hall in Sale has reopened after a major refurbishment project - with a new roof, new kitchen, toilet facilities, enclosed outside play area and internal redecoration.
The hall was formally re-opened by the Mayor of Trafford, Cllr John Holden, who visited the church's successful Easter Fun Day on March 28.
Cllr Holden said: "I am delighted to see the church hall renewed for the use of the church and residents here in Sale.
"It is a testament to the efforts of the congregation and the hall's user groups who have raised so much money and done a great deal of the work themselves."
Vicar of St. Paul's, the Rev Barbara Sharp, added: "The fundraising efforts for the hall have been amazing, with almost £54,000 raised towards the vital works, which will not only stop water ingress, but also secure this vital community building for the next generation."
