STOCKDALES, the Sale based charity supporting people with severe disabilities, is holding a Volunteer Open Day at 34 Harboro Road, Sale, on June 6 from 10am to 4pm.
It has been organised as part of Volunteers Week and the aim of the event is to encourage people to volunteer for Stockdales.
Natalie James, the organisation’s fundraising and volunteer manager said: “We’ve already had a great response from launching our Volunteering on Your Doorstep campaign a few months ago. However, we really need more volunteers to help us.”
People can get involved in all sorts of ways, from helping directly with our service users in sessions and in our residential houses along with fundraising such as helping at events and administration. Other opportunities include more manual activities such as driving, gardening and maintenance.
