CHILDREN and adults alike will enjoy a Picnic in the Park arranged by the Friends of Ashton Park.
On June 8 from 2 pm, families can enjoy a picnic while listening to popular songs performed by the Stretford Brass Band.
Don’t worry if you forget because you can still buy burgers and ice cream.
Children will enjoy pony rides and their parents can learn crown green bowling for free.
There will be a retro sweet stall selling old fashioned toffees such as humbugs and , the shop, Village Traders, will have a stall featuring everything from balloons to pan scrubbers, Derek Blain, chairman of the Friends of Ashton Park, said: “This, our third Picnic in the Park will, hopefully, be our best.”
