A 90-year-old woman was treated by paramedics after a pan of food caught fire at her Brooklands home.
Firefighters were called to the semi-detached property, on Harrow Road, at around 6.45pm on April 6.
Upon arrival, crews found that the fire had burnt itself out, but they used a high pressure fan to clear the smoke.
The woman was checked over by ambulance staff, but she declined hospital treatment.
Firefighters determined that a pan of food had been left unattended and carried out a home safety check to prevent further incidents.
