A SALE grandmother abseiled down the side of Old Trafford football ground in aid of the Christie.
Sylivia Brocklehurst, 74, was joined by her grandsons Ben Scanlon, 17, and Liam Sabertonm, 19, and raised £1,000 between them.
The Witley Drive resident was diagnosed with cancer last year and is now in remission, but her niece is currently being treated for cancer at the Christie.
Sylvia’s daughter, Angela, said: “It went really well, they had a big group of family and friends there to support them, she said it was one of the best things she's ever done.
“The boys thought it was great fun and all three agreed they will never forget the experience”
Angela added: “They have raised over £1,000 we're so proud of them all.”
