Homes and Communities Agency’s Get Britain Building Programme could kickstart Partington scheme
9:00am Monday 26th March 2012 in Partington
A PARTINGTON housing scheme has been shortlisted for funding from a Government regeneration programme.
If the bid to the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) £570m Get Britain Building Programme is successful, the cash would be used to get the canalside development on Lock Lane under way.
The scheme is for 550 family homes as part of the wider Partington Village Project.
Trafford Council's executive councillor for economic growth and properity, Cllr Mike Cornes, said: "I am delighted that the Lock Lane development has been shortlisted for this funding, which would play a big part in enabling us to take the next step forward in bringing plans for the future of Partington to fruition."
The HCA will announce the schemes which will receive funding from May.
