CANADIAN students have shown their support for the Trafford Partnership's 100 Days Campaign.

A group of students from the Harvest School of Ministry, Toronto, joined forces with the People’s Church in Partington to help with a community clean up.

The group revived the Redbrook Trail in Partington to improve the environment for wildlife and local residents.

The students spent three days in Partington taking part in youth activities and street outreach work as well as the community clean up.

They offered ‘gifts of kindness’ in Partington’s town centre to passers-by who received free chocolate and hot drinks.

Leader of Trafford Council and Chair of the Trafford Partnership Matt Colledge said: "We have had great support during the first part of the 100 days campaign and it is fantastic to see that we are now getting international participation too.

"I would encourage anyone who is interested in making a difference to their community to arrange an event or join one of ours."
