The family of a motorcyclist who died in a crash on Christmas day are appealing for as many bikers as possible to take part in one last ride for him at his funeral.

Cole Porter, aged 21, was killed after his white Yamaha FZG motorcycle crashed with a blue Peugeot 206 at the junction of Moss Lane and Harwick Road on Christmas Day at around 1.45pm.

Mr Porter was taken to hospital following the incident, and died some time later.

The driver of the Peugeot stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.

A Facebook event set up by his sister, Hannah said: "We are looking for as many bikers as possible to give our beautiful boy the best send off he could possibly have. Cole was involved in a motorbike accident on Christmas day, and sadly lost his fight and passed away on Boxing day at the age of 21.

"He lived and died on his bike and would be so humbled to know everybody will ride out with him one last time.

"The funeral will be held at the Crematorium in Altrincham on Friday January 19 at 3.00pm. If everyone could start gathering at 1.00pm at the end of Broadway, Partington, that would be great

All bikers welcome, the route will be suitable for everyone.

"Please share people, lets make this the best send off we can for such a special boy."

Paying tribute to him, Cole’s family said: “Cole was a loving son, a caring brother and a loyal friend.

“He was passionate and driven, with the world at his feet. He had the softest heart and a laugh that would fill up the room.

“He meant everything to his friends and even more to his family, and will remain in our hearts forever. Our beautiful boy.

“We are heart broken and would appreciate privacy at this devastating time.”
