PLAYAWAY, a Partingon-based parent and toddler group has received a boost after wooden toys were donated from Ireland.
The toys, which included a wendy house, easel and HGV truck were manufactured by apprentices at Sisk, one of the main civil contractors involved in the construction of Carrington Power Station. They worked alongside Alstom and DF.
Irene Jones, Playaway manager said: “We were overwhelmed with both the quality and quantity of the toys given to us. They were perfect for the age range of the group”
Pat Cole from Sisk added: “It was great to see the toys being used and we’re hoping that another batch will be available in the near future.”
The group meets every Wednesday morning at 10am in St George's Hall at St Mary’s Church.
