Car deliberately set on fire while driver broken down in Partington
A MAN’S car was deliberately set on fire while the owner stopped to get help when his vehicle broke down in Partington.
The incident took place on Broadway at around 9am on Sunday, July 28.
The driver’s Renault Grand Scenic had broken down, he stopped and went to find a mechanic, but when he returned to his vehicle he found that it had been set alight.
A crew from Sale Fire Station attended and extinguished the fire, but the car was completely destroyed.
