A HALE based company has been raising money for charity with the iconic 'time machine' from Hollywood blockbuster Back to the Future.
The De Lorean team led by owner David Golding and event manager Heather Clawson, collected £2,967 for Parkinson's UK at the Blue Dot Festival at Jodrell Bank, where they had two of the iconic cars on display.
Both DeLorean’s have been transformed at the world-famous Bob’s Prop Shop based in Texas.
Heather said “This is our first festival and to see such reactions of excitement and sheer joy from visitors was just mind blowing. "We hire out the vehicles for weddings and events but supporting charity events are our real purpose and very special; the reactions to the DeLorean’s from all ages is just wonderful, it makes it all very worthwhile."
David added: “The link with Parkinson's UK is paramount to me, as the lead character Marty McFly, the time-travelling teenager of the Back to the Future trilogy, played by Michael J Fox, was diagnosed at 30 with Parkinson’s.
