BOWDON is the place to be this Bank Holiday Monday, with an Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Parade just some of the family fun planned.

Friends of Bowdon Recreation Ground will be holding an afternoon of Easter activities on tomorrow, April 17, from 2.30pm to 5pm.

The event will take place at the Recreation Ground, Hopkins Field, Bowdon, next to the Bollin School.

The free event will include an Easter Egg hunt, an Easter Bonnet Parade, a cake competition and tombola.

Refreshments will also be available.

The event also provides an opportunity to celebrate the opening of the refurbished play area and continue the fundraising efforts of the Friends of Bowdon Recreation Ground group.

Thomas Hague, chair of the Friends Group, said: “We are very excited to be holding this free Easter event at the park.

“Our last event in September was a huge success and we hope to see even more people from the local community coming to take part in the activities which include an Easter egg hunt and bonnet parade, we will also be celebrating the opening of our refurbished play area.

“Everyone is welcome and we hope it will be a fun afternoon, fingers crossed the sun will shine too.”
