TWO Hale retailers have been selected as finalists for UK fashion industry awards.
Pixie, a baby and childrenswear boutique and Shoetique, long-standing footwear specialists, have been put forward for the prestigious Drapers Independents Awards 2014.
Pixie was nominated in the niche retailer category and is one of six finalists. Shoetique was nominated for the multichannel operator category and is one of seven shops in the finals.
They were judged on financial performance, a well-devised business plan and a visually outstanding store.
A representative from the Hale Business Association, said: “Businesses are still recovering from difficult economic times so it’s great to see that two of our retailers are being recognised for their achievements.
“These awards are a great opportunity for us to shine a light on what is going well with the village’s retail offering and encourage more people to visit.”
The winners will be announced in September.
