Underpants loving Aliens head to Altrincham

ALIENS from the bestselling children’s picture book ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ are making their way to Altrincham.

The popular Alien characters, part of a series of books from author Claire Freedman and illustrator Ben Cort, will be visiting Waterstones on George Street at the Stamford Quarter on August 11.

The picture books are based on Alien characters and use rhyming text in a fresh and fun way to the delight of children.

These include “Aliens love underpants in every shape and size but there are no underpants in space so here’s a big surprise. When aliens fly down to earth they don’t come to see you they simply want your underpants, I bet you never knew.”

Maggie Dooley, store manager of Waterstones at the Stamford Quarter, said: “‘Aliens Love Underpants’ is a really popular children’s book and we are very excited to have the characters visiting the store.

“On the day we will be reading the books at 10:30am and 4pm with an appearance from the Aliens immediately following each story time. Children will also be able to decorate a pair of underpants to hang on our washing line in store.

“For parents, we also have crime writer Martina Cole coming to the store on September 14 from 12pm to 1pm to sign her new book “The Life”

David Wightman, centre manager of the Stamford Quarter added: “We hope children and their families have a great time at Waterstones seeing ‘Aliens Love Underpants’.

“The visit tops off a great week of activity at the Stamford Quarter, including a visit from European Football Freestyle Champion Colin Nell who will be performing some of his amazing tricks and running free workshops on the 8th and 9th of August 8 and 9.”
