THE Altrincham Concert Orchestra raised £650 at their annual Christmas concert in aid of local children’s cancer research charity, Friends of Rosie.
The concert, held at the Altrincham United Reform Church, was conducted by Miles Haslam, together with the Di Voci choir.
Lisa Larkin, Friends of Rosie Trustee, who attended the event, said: “The orchestra performed a fabulous programme from Gershwin to Rimsky Korsakov and the Di Voci choir sang magnificently. It was a full house for a super concert and everyone joined in the carols.
"Thanks go to everyone who took part - the orchestra, choir and audience - for their kindness and generosity."
The money raised will help get new children’s cancer research ideas off the ground during 2018.
