A FEAST of fiendish family fun is being lined up in Altrincham this Halloween.

Altrincham Unlimited has teamed up with events specialists Our Kids Social and arts centre Art with a Heart to put on a bumper week of activities during October half term.

Mr Bones’ Town Trail will run from October 24-28, with children invited to track down hidden bones in shops all around the town centre to help put Mr Bones’ skeleton back together in time for Halloween.

Meanwhile Art with a Heart (opposite the Clock Tower in Stamford New Road) will be running free drop-in Creepy Craft sessions on the same dates from 11am-4pm. Trail sheets can be picked up from Altrincham Library, Art with a Heart or Waterstones.

Also new for this half term will be a Spooky Silent Disco on Friday, October 27 at Altrincham Conservative Club on Market Street, run by Our Kids Social.

With four sessions taking place throughout the day, tickets are £3 and include a fancy dress disco and themed games with prizes for the best outfits, plus freaky family photoframe and face painting (small charge) for perfect Halloween photos. Tickets can be purchased from http://ourkids.social/events/spooky-silent-disco-2017/

Linda Roy, communications manager for Altrincham Unlimited said: “Last year our Halloween Pumpkin Trail was a big success, with more than 1000 people taking part over the course of a week, and we have built on that to widen the range of family-focused activities in Altrincham town centre this October half term.

“Our Kids Social have come up with a brilliant theme in Mr Bones’ Town Trail, and we’re sure children will have a lot of fun following the clues and completing the hunt. We’re also delighted to be working with Art with a Heart to offer free art and craft activities throughout the week – giving families another reason to spend time in Altrincham.

"Tickets are selling fast for the Spooky Silent Disco; it should be a fantastic event and we’re looking forward to seeing Altrincham full of little witches and ghouls on Friday,October 27."

Vicki Fox, owner of Bumkins Designer Kids children’s clothing store in Moss Lane, said: “Last year’s Pumpkin Trail was great for us; it brought new customers through the door and was an excellent opportunity to showcase our stock pre-Christmas. The most frequent comment from parents was that they loved the way the trail took them to shops and cafes they had never visited before; it’s a fun way to explore the town and discover all it has to offer."
