THE long-established Greenwood's store in George Street, Altrincham is threatened with closure - although no firm decision has been made on its future

The uncertainty comes after the 157-year-old menswear chain went into administration earlier this month.

There are closing down signs in the store's windows.

Administrator Deloitte is assessing options while the company continues to trade. No date has been set for the closure of any stores.

Deloitte is continuing to try to find a buyer for the entire company.

A note on the Altrincham store's door says: 'The affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by the joint administrators'.

The menswear chain employs more than 300 members of staff
