SPECSAVERS in Altrincham will play host to a troupe of Dancing Grannies during a fun day on Saturday, September 23.

This event follows the expansion of the audiology team in Specsavers Altrincham earlier in 2017, after the appointment of audiologist director Anum Saleemi.

Anum is excited about the event and says: “Everyone has seen the famous Dancing Grannies on their TVs, and we’re so pleased to be able to welcome them to Altrincham.

“This fun day will allow us to speak to the people of Altrincham about the effects of hearing loss, and the impact it can have on their lives. Having worked with those living with hearing loss for many years now, there’s nothing I love more than seeing someone’s confidence return once they begin to hear more clearly.”

As part of the fun day, the Specsavers team will be on hand to administer free hearing checks, and answer any questions customers may have regarding their audiology options. Team members will be giving out goody bags, while the famous Dancing Grannies from the Specsavers advertising campaigns perform.

The store will be paid a l visit by Hearing Dogs representatives and their canine companions who will be in the store from 11am until 4pm, allowing customers to meet the dogs and find out more about the services they provide to those who are hard of hearing.

The Specsavers staff are also holding a bake sale in the store to raise money for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

Hearing aid manufacturer Widex will also have representatives on hand to provide free demonstrations on how customers can choose an appropriate hearing aid.

The audiology fun day takes place from 9am to 5pm.
