ALTRINCHAM’S Tavern on the Green is busy this week with a range of activities which include sampling gin and supporting the Cheshire charity, the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.

On Thursday 21 September, the Tavern on the Green will host Altrincham Business Improvement District members and other representatives from the town’s business community. Guests will have the chance to sample cask beers, craft beers and cocktails. A pie and mash buffet will be followed by a quiz and games of rock and roll bingo.

The charity event on behalf of CAFT - the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust - takes place on Friday 22. After a charity raffle and auction the evening will finish with a guilty pleasures themed disco.

The money raised will go to CAFT which is based in Millington just outside Altrincham. It provides holiday breaks and activities for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West region.

As Thursday was devoted to business and Friday to charity , Saturday 23 is given over to pleasure in the form of an all day gin festival.

As well as the chance to sample different varieties of gin, there will be master classes on how to make the perfect G&T.

Prohibition style cocktails will be on sale and The Retrosettes Duo are providing live music from 9.00pm.
