THE quiz team Throbbing Gristle cam out on top in the Altrincham Festival contest.
The team members are pictured picking up their medals and trophy from the Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Johnathon Coupe, and the Mayoress, Diane Coupe, at a packed quiz finals night on July 6.
On behalf of the festival, show director Tony Fishwick received a cheque for £670 from the Railway patrons and the quiz teams taking part.
He said: "We are very grateful for the support of Alan Hough from the Railway and OF the Quiz organiser Annette Pickford and her husband for all the many weeks of hard work which is involved.
"The quiz was in the hands of a great quizmaster, John, and we'd like to thank him for giving his time in arranging the splendid questions."
