TRAVEL agents are banding together to help 'one of their own' who was killed in the Manchester Arena bomb attack.

The initiative has been spearheaded by Altrincham travel agent ken Garrity, after he discovered that those killed in the atrocity included North East travel agent Chloe Rutherford, aged 17.

Chloe and her boyfriend Liam Curry aged 19 were killed as they left the concert.

Ken said he was determined to do something to help after hearing that Chloe, who he knew, and Liam and been killed.

Ken said: " I contacted another travel colleague in north Manchester, Jill Waite from Pole Travel, and together  we devised a JustGiving page to try and raise money for the victims families.

"We have set  a target of £10,000 and so far have received over £1300 in donations mainly from travel colleagues in the business.

"We would like to broaden the appeal to anyone who wishes to contribute to this cause so we can reach our target figure.

"Chloe and Liam were at the start of their lives and had so much to look forward to."
