GERTIE the goat was one of the star attractions as Loreto Preparatory School pupils enjoyed a day on the farm at Stockley Park.
Year One pupils at the Altrincham school got to feed the goats, lambs, piglets and calves as they learned about modern agriculture and compassionate farming at the model farm in Arley.
Pictured milking one of the goats is Lilia Middleton aged six.
Loreto Preparatory School Year One teacher, Anna Beecroft, said: “This hands on experience gives our pupils greater confidence with a wide range of animals and shows them how hard our farmers have to work through the whole year round and not just during lambing season.”
Mrs Beecroft added: “Watching the children feed the goats is always one of the highlights of the school calendar just seeing that look of wonder spread across their faces lights up the day."
