AN elderly lady was robbed by a ‘Good Samaritan’ who helped her get off a tram in Altrincham yesterday.
The victim was assisted by a fellow passenger as she struggled to get off a tram in Navigation Road at around 1pm on Tuesday May 2.
However, the woman took advantage of the pensioner’s vulnerability and stole her purse out of her bag as she helped her off.
A woman was later arrested in connection with the incident and has been released pending further investigation.
Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to call the police on 101, quoting police log number 1088 from 02/05/17.
