A MAN has been charged with the murder of a restaurant boss who had links to Altrincham.
Giorgio Roncari, aged 61, was found dead at a house on Blackburn Street, Salford, earlier this month.
Vincenzo Tavano, aged 27, of Park Lane, Poynton has been charged with murder, fraud and taking a vehicle without consent.
He has been remanded to appear at Salford and Manchester Magistrates Court today, April 27.
A 43-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further enquiries.
At around 7.20pm on Monday 17 April 2017 officers attended a house on Blackburn Street, Trinity and found the body of Giorgio Roncari, from Italy.
He was the former boss of Avalanche restaurant in Manchester city centre and is reported to have been a director of Home bar and restaurant in Little Bollington on the outskirts of Altrincham, which closed several years ago.
He is also previously registered as a director of Sopranos, an Italian restaurant formerly based in King’s Court, Altrincham.
