YOUNG visitors to Altrincham were treated to an unexpected sight on Saturday when a ‘real life’ Tyrannosaurus Rex took to the streets as part of Altrincham Unlimited’s Easter holiday activities.
In the week leading up to Easter, 1,000 children took part in the ‘Great Dino Egg Hunt’, following the trail around the town centre and joining Art with a Heart for free arts and crafts activities.

And then on Saturday April 15, Altrincham Unlimited and Sale Arts Zoo founders Two by Two teamed up for a “Roarsome Easter Dino Day” in Kings Court.
More than 950 people enjoyed Easter arts and crafts, bonnet making, photo booth, quiz, face painting, balloon modelling and Easter bonnet parade.

The highlight of the day was Rex, an 8ft ‘real life’ dinosaur, who roared his way around Kings Court and on Railway Street throughout the day, delighting and terrifying the crowds in equal measure.
