A CYCLIST who was knocked down by a car is hoping to track down two Good Samaritans who came to his aid.

Phil Craven was hit whilst riding along Clay Lane, in Altrincham, on Thursday February 16.

Two “wonderful” ladies stopped their cars to help him and Phil didn’t get a chance to thank them.

“They took the time to check I was alright, rang for the emergency services, offered me a seat in the car, and gave me a blanket to keep warm,” he said.

“Their care and attention was very much appreciated – especially as this was rush hour; and they must have made themselves late to their own destination.

“I think myself lucky that there are people such as this in our community.”

Phil said it was an unfortunate accident and texted the worried driver later that day to assure him he was ok and didn’t need any hospital treatment.

“But I wasn’t able to get the ladies’ contact details,” he said. “So I just want to let them know that I am fine, and back cycling to work again.
