ALTRINCHAM residents are being reminded that there is a defibrillator available in the town centre.
The lifesaving device is housed on the side of Altrincham Market on Shaw's Road, opposite Sugo Pasta Kitchen.
It was purchased using funds raised by the children, parents and staff of Altrincham's Juice Nursery, following a 'Have A Heart' fundraiser.
Now the nursery is keen to make sure people know about it, particularly following a recent incident when a man went into cardiac arrest in the town centre, which resulted in him receiving emergency treatment at the scene.
Sarah Leary, marketing manager at the nursery, said: "It is really important that everyone knows that it is there in case of emergency."
A free basic life support first aid course, was held at Altrincham town Hall on December 12.
