EVER wish you could relive your youth and go back in time to the heyday of legendary rave club Hasienda for one night – well here’s your chance.
Hacienda stalwarts, such as Peter Hook and Mike Pickering, teamed up with the Manchester Camerata orchestra for a series of ‘Hacienda Classical’ live events earlier this year.
A new documentary which follows the musicians from their first rehearsals through to the live performances at the Bridgewater Hall and Castlefield Arena is to be shown on the big screen at Altrincham VUE cinema on Saturday November 12.
The 1 hour 35 minute film, which is to be shown for one night only, is also packed with behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with all of the key artists.
Musical director Tim Crooks said: “Manchester has amazing musicians, DJs, producers and orchestras but they rarely collaborate. It’s rare that you get to do a project that celebrates this diversity.”
The screening, which starts at 8.30pm, is part of Vue’s Big Screen Music experiences and movie-goers are encouraged to get up and dance in the aisles.
