CALLING all community, youth and charity groups in Altrincham… do your meeting rooms need a makeover or are your premises in dire need of decorating?

Organisations across the town are being given the chance to win a free makeover for their offices or community venue to reward its record response to a recycling scheme.

Homeowners and businesses in Altrincham and the surrounding area returned hundreds of containers of unwanted paint to the Crown Decorating Centre as part of the nationwide ‘Kick Out The Can’ initiative earlier this year.

Their donations earned the store the ‘regional champion’ award for the entire North West region, beating off dozens of other stores and earning the community a chance to directly benefit from the scheme.

Anthony Gillett, manager of the store, is now calling for groups to come forward so they can give back to the community and donate up to 50 litres of the recycled paint to the most deserving project.

he said: “we can’t thank the people of altrincham enough for supporting us in this campaign and we’re now keen to give something back as a thank you for the town’s enthusiastic response.”

Any groups wishing to be considered for the donation can send details of what they do and the painting project they’d like to carry out, including pictures if possible, to altrincham@crownpaints.co.uk, marking the email ‘Kick Out The Can’ Community Appeal’.

Alternatively, you can post entries to Crown Decorating Centre, Unit 2D, Stag Industrial Estate, Atlantic Street, Broadheath, Altrincham WA14 5DW

The only criteria is that you are a not-for-profit organisation and based in the Altrincham area. The deadline for entries is Friday November 11.
