POLICE have confirmed they are investigating an attempted abduction in Altrincham.
Three men tried to grab a 17-year-old girl and force her into the back of a car near to Tesco in Altrincham on Sunday August 7 between 9.15pm and 10.15pm.
The teenager was walking over the Moss Lane bridge towards her home when she was attacked.
Her friend, whom she had dropped off at home, heard the commotion and ran to the victim’s aid. The would-be abductors then fled the scene.
A police spokesperson said that enquiries are ongoing and urged anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 2528 of 7/8/16.
