POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked in Altrincham.
At around 3am on Sunday May 1, a 20-year-old woman was outside Canada Grill and Nick’s Lounge in Railway Road in Altrincham town centre when she was the victim of an unprovoked attack.
The woman sustained a broken hand and facial injuries during the assault and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective Constable Rebecca Mills of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “This attack took place on a busy bank holiday weekend and we believe that there may have been several witnesses.
“I would like to urge anybody with information to please come forward and contact police.”
