AN ORNATE dolls house that has boosted a number of charities since being made in tribute to a beloved wife, is going on display in Altrincham next week.

It was made by Victor Lawson of Hale Barns in memory of his wife, Sylvia, who died in 2013 The house has already raised more than £725 on justgiving www.justgiving.com/Sylvia-Dolls-House

It was then donated to The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr John Holden’s charity fund – raising funds for Age UK Trafford and The Christie.

Originally it was due to be auctioned but then a generous donor came forward and agreed to donate £1500 to purchase the house and then donate it to Francis House children’s hospice, for the children to play with.

Now the dolls house will be on display at Altrincham Town Hall on April 11, 11am to 5pm; and on Tuesday April 12, 9am to 2pm. Mr Lawson will be there on Monday afternoon.
