BBC Radio 3 will be broadcasting live from Dunham Massey as part of the station’s two-week season 'Music in the Great War'.

Sean Rafferty, in association with the National Trust, will present his drive-time show In Tune from the Altrincham attraction on June 26, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

The great house was transformed into the Stamford Military Hospital during the First World War and as part of the anniversary commemorations, the National Trust has recreated one of the wartime hospital wards in the property.

In Tune will reflect on the story of the hospital in wartime through music and conversation.

Guests include the pianist David Owen Norris who will perform a selection of music from the time, while Sean and his guests will consider the impact that music played then to boost morale, offer solace, and help recuperation.
