AN Altrincham creative agency has launched a new animated competition campaign which has recently began airing on pre-school channels Nick Jr and Nick Jr. 2.

The If Agency, in Woodfield Road, has worked with Knowsley Safari Park to develop the campaign, which features a series of 30-second TV clips and a dedicated website.

It is hoped that these will encourage people to visit the popular Merseyside attraction.

As well as providing the storyboard and overall creative direction, the agency has also worked with Nickelodeon’s creative services unit on the development and delivery of the final animation.

Based upon the brand idea of ‘Truly Wild Encounters’, the campaign looks to emphasise the fact that Knowsley Safari Park visitors can get close to the animals.

Jane Moore, group account director at The If Agency said: “We’ve worked with Knowsley Safari for quite some time now, and have a strong vision for the brand and how it needs to be communicated.

“It’s been a while since the park has had a presence on TV and the Nick Jr opportunity presented us with a way to use the medium in a more creative, engaging, fun, relevant and cost-effective way.”

Rachel Scott, head of marketing at Knowsley Safari Park added: “Nick Jr and its focus on adventure provides a great environment for us.

“We think our audience will love the elements of surprise in the creative treatment which highlight the truly wild encounters you can experience every day at Knowsley Safari.”
