COMMUNITY group Two by Two Hurrah launches its annual summer trail on July 22 with an action packed party at Sale Waterside.

The trail theme connects with the popular Sale Art Zoo from last year and this year's Reading Agency summer reading challenge theme of animal detectives.

Who Shrunk the Zoo? will see miniature versions of last year's zoo animals hidden around Waterside Art Centre and Sale Library. Children will become detectives as they pick up a trail map and hunt for the missing animals.

Zoe Taylor, creative director of Two by Two Hurrah, said: “We very much wanted this trail to be a fun way for families to remember the Sale Art Zoo of last year as well as engage with the libraries wonderful summer reading challenge theme.

"It is also a great way for us to work alongside the Waterside Art Centre which is such a great venue for the community.”

The launch for Who Shrunk the Zoo? will run inside and outside of Sale Waterside with free crafting activities, chalk drawing, the amazing Professor Jigget, pop up stalls from local cake makers Bibble Bakes, Wow Comix and Explore Learning, Clair Sullivan facepainting, ice cream van and more.

Alongside the launch, Waterside Art Centre is running its 10-day Refract summer programme. Amongst the Who Shrunk the Zoo launch, there will be an outdoor performance Flit Flap Fly on the Waterside Plaza with a number of short performances across the day.

THE Who Shrunk the Zoo? trail will run for the duration of the summer. Trail maps can be collected from Waterside Art Centre or Sale Library.
