SOME fervent electioneering on behalf of the Labour Party is taking place in an unexpected location in Urmston - above the office of the Stretford and Urmston Conservative Association.

The flat above the Flixton Road Tory stronghold has been let out - and the cheeky tenant has festooned the apartment with posters backing Labour.

The leaflets urge voters to support Labour candidate Kate Green, who is defending the Stretford and Urmston seat in the General Election.

It is believed the Conservative Association is looking to apply a condition on any future lease which prevents a repetition.
