THE much-anticipated inaugural Hale Barns Carnival is to feature a ‘Night at the Proms’, with a live orchestra, opera stars and pyrotechnics, it has been announced.

Organisers have confirmed the Hale Barns ‘Night at the Proms’ will be the headline concert on Saturday July 15, followed by the festival headline 'Odyssey' concert on the Sunday evening.

The special outdoor classical performance will include a live orchestra, opera stars, choral performances, singers and spectacular pyrotechnics and guests will be invited to bring along a picnic and flags to enjoy a night of pomp and fun.

There is a couple of special surprises planned for the classical concert which are being kept under wraps.

Popular classic prom numbers will be performed, along with a couple of new pieces all performed by a full symphony orchestra.

Timperley singer Amanda Jane Heywood, who has worked alongside Billy Ocean and Alexander O Neal, will also be performing.

As well as enjoying the classical concert, event goers can also enjoy the rides and attractions on site, as well as perusing the craft and art stalls and sampling finest food from the region, with an artisan food and drink market open into the late evening.

The event will take place on St Ambrose College Playing Fields, Hale Barns.

Tickets are priced at £15 for adults. EarlyBird tickets (purchased before June 1) cost £10 and under 18s go free.
