STRETFORD and Urmston MP Kate Green says she is looking forward to standing up for the interests of her constituents, in the General election campaign.
Prime Minister Theresa May has called a snap June 8 election.
Ms Green said: " I’m looking forward to campaigning in Stretford and Urmston, for great Labour policies - a £10 an hour living wage, more money to support those who care for friends and family members, free school meals for all children in primary schools, and against Tory policies that are hurting people round here.
"Everyone knows this election is all about the interests of the Conservative Party, and not what’s in the country’s best interests.
"The Brexit deal is set to be a disaster. I’ll be standing up for the interests of everyone in Stretford and Urmston, as I’ve done in Parliament and in the constituency ever since I was elected seven years ago."
