DO you have room in your life for lovely old lady Lois?

The 15-year-old came to the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA) after being handed in to the vets, where she lived for two months.

The vets tried to trace her owners via her microchip but no-one came forward to claim her.

Ruth Hastie, SAA fundraiser, said: “Lois likes a quiet life and a gentle fuss so would be unsuitable for a family with young children. She also loathes other cats.

“She has had some dental work done to have five teeth removed and she does have an ongoing issue with her mouth. However, this only requires minimal care.

“The vet thinks she has had a fractured spine at some point in the past which has healed but Lois does get some pain in her back and she needs daily pain medication.

“If you think you can offer this gentle old lady some love and attention in her golden years then please contact us on 0161 973 5318 or email office@saarescue.co.uk.”

SAA carries out a home check to make sure potential owners do not live near a busy road. An adoption fee will apply.

Its rescue centre straddles the Stretford and Sale border, located at The Peggy Henderson Animal Sanctuary, Mosley Acre Farm, Barfoot Bridge.
