THE B Company beauty salon in Sale is contending with a break-in on October 21 - but it is business as usual.
Barbara Allman, a business partner at the Washway Road salon, is still establishing exactly what was taken.
She said: “When I arrived for work at 8.45, there was glass all over the floor and, as well as the window glass, they had smashed a glass cabinet. Stock had been taken from it.”
Customer, Maureen Rushton, a client for 14 years, who had come for an eyebrow shape and tint, said: “They are so friendly here. They must be gutted. I wondered what all the glass was.”
It is the latest in a series of setbacks for the business owners.
Barbara's joint business partner, Deborah Bond, broke her leg getting her foot caught in sand when on holiday.
When Barbara took a well-deserved break in Spain, she experienced a hurricane which affected the electricity at her apartment in Estopona.
“I sometimes feel as though everything is against me,” said Barbara.
She added: “We have lovely customers who have been on Facebook offering to help.”
Clients continued to have beauty treatments throughout the day.
