ADVENTURER Bear Grylls has teamed up with Trafford Park-based trampoline park provider, Oxygen Freejumping, to launch an innovative indoor fitness programme.

Renowned for his spirit of endeavour, fitness and adventure, Bear Grylls is working directly with Oxygen to create a programme of high intensity exercises in both studios and indoor assault courses for obstacle course race and fitness enthusiasts

The Bear Grylls Fitness will be piloted at Oxygen’s Manchester site in Trafford Park, where construction is due to begin over the course of the next two months

The programme will feature a multi-storey assault course to challenge users to practice the moves and techniques Bear uses in the wild.

Over the next two years the partnership will be seen throughout Oxygen’s growing chain, set to be 30 parks by the end of the Summer 2018.

Bear Grylls said of the initiative: "It is a totally unique way of training, which is both functional and very dynamic.

"This is the way that I build fitness for all my adventures, and Oxygen Freejumping provides the perfect venue and culture to train hard in this style."

Oxygen Freejumping chief executive, David Stalker, said: "We are delighted with this partnership as we both share a simple mission to empower people of all ages to get moving in a different way that anyone can try.

"Our sites are more than just trampolining as they are centres for Freerunning, fitness programmes, aspiring gymnasts and of course huge numbers of people just looking to have fun at events, dodgeball leagues and Freejumping sessions.

"This obstacle course concept is the logical next step and I can’t wait for all of our Freejumpers to get fit and try to overcome the same type of obstacles that Bear encounters in the wild.

"We will now set about building something that will truly surprise everyone, first at our Trafford site and then across our growing estate."
