OLD Trafford firm PH Media Group is on course to hit its annual fundraising target after raising £22,000 in the first half of 2016.

Employees at the audio branding specialist have got involved in a variety of activities, as part of efforts to raise £30,000 by the end of the year for official company charity the PHMG Foundation.

Recent events have included a challenging hike up Dovestone Peak on the the Peak District National Park, a raffle and auction and the first in a trio of 10k races.

As with previous years, the company’s board has committed to match the amount raised with an equivalent donation if employees hit the £30,000 target.

“Our staff pull together year-after-year to come up with new and innovative ways to continue their fundraising success,” said Chris Berisford, finance director at PHMG and PHMG Foundation Trustee.

“We set the bar even higher this year but, given that we’ve already reached £22,000 eight months into the year, we have every faith in our employees to achieve the final amount.”

Since establishing its own charity arm in 2013, PHMG has raised more than £100,000 for various good causes with more than £50,000 being donated in 2015 alone.

Funds raised this year will go to the Christie, Children with Cancer UK, Dementia UK, MNDA, Alzheimer’s Society, JDRF, St Clare Hospice, Macmillan, St Leonard’s Hospice, Cystic Fibrosis, Myeloma UK, Derian House Children’s Hospice, Cyril Flint, Once Upon a Smile, Mind and Wood Street Mission.
