CHINESE students on an exchange visit to the UK visited Altrincham College recently.

The trip was organised by Suman Education International and ran in conjunction with two to four week-long summer camps that are held in many cities in China.

The 47 students were given a tour of the site by some Altrincham College Year 10 student leaders and also took part in some taster lessons, on July 18.

In partnership with Suman Education International, two teachers from Altrincham College have been given the opportunity to take part in an all-expenses paid trip to various cities in China to deliver a two week English course.

Peter Brooks, headteacher at the Timperley school, said: β€œIt was fabulous to see students from different walks of life interacting and exchanging ideas.

"This was a great opportunity for us to showcase our school and the way in which we learn. It was an unforgettable day for both parties and we hope to have offered the students an insight into education in the UK.

"We are very lucky to have been offered an opportunity for two of our teachers to visit China over the summer, this is a once in a lifetime experience and look forward to hearing about the people they meet and the skills they learn during their visit.”
