JUNE 21 was the longest day for four members of Altrincham Golf Club, who completed 72 holes of golf over the day to boost Macmillan Cancer Support.
Billy Stopford , his son David , Norman Crowther and Ian Wood raised £900 for the charity by completing four rounds of golf at the Altrincham course, between 4.45am and 8pm. More donations are expected to boost their total.
They each enjoyed a free celebratory drink at the Old Hall to celebrate their achievement. The Old Hall had earlier provided a sponsored lunch. At the end of the day they enjoyed a sponsored meal at Altrincham restaurant, the Essence.
