AN ELVIS themed party night has raised more than £300 for Sale charity The Alex Hulme Foundation.

The night, which featured renowned Manchester impersonator Patelvis, saw around 100 people attend the event at Sale Rugby Club, on Heywood Road, on June 11.

Among the crowd were Nicola and Dave Hulme, who founded the charity to fund research into Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in children after losing their son Alex to the condition five years ago.

Dave, said: “We had a fantastic evening among so many wonderful people and to be able to receive welcome donations for Alex's legacy was a bonus.

“We are so grateful to Dom and to his associates at Meanandmymates.com for the amazing and continued support that they give to the foundation and to us as a family."

Dominic Kent, of Meandmymates.com, who organised the night, said: “We are huge supporters of Dave, Nicola and the charity and we wanted to put on a night to remember.

“Patelvis was fantastic, and we are really pleased to be able to add to the fantastic work the Alex Hulme Foundation has already carried out.”

To date the foundation has raised more than £279,000 to fund the research of Dr Suzanne Turner at Cambridge University.
