STUCK for ideas on keeping the little ones busy this May half term? You don’t have to venture far.

Dunham Massey has a whole host of family fun and extra messy activities to keep families busy all week long.

“Our younger visitors can enjoy getting creative outdoors this May half term. From barefoot painting to wild art getting messy is all part of the fun,” said Katie Clayton, assistant visitor experience manager.

“All of the activities count as one of your ‘extra messy 50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4’- a National Trust challenge that encourages kids to have fun outdoors and discover their wild side.”

Make a wild art masterpiece on Tuesday May 31 and get close to nature on Wednesday June 1 and make a fat ball bird feeder. On Thursday June 2, let your feet create a masterpiece with barefoot painting and recreate your favourite part of the garden on Friday June 3 at the ‘create with clay’ workshop.

All activities take place 12pm-4pm in the garden.

The Dunham Massey Teddy Bears Picnic on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5.

Bring along your cuddly friend and a picnic and enjoy games, a puppet show and live music from Lydgate Brass Band.

Want to turn your visit into a whole day out? You can continue ticking off your ’50 things’ in the park and garden; track wild animals, explore inside a tree and even build a den.

All visitors require a garden ticket for all May half term events and for the Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Free for National Trust members.
