KATE Green MP met up with a recently formed group which supports those diagnosed with ME, CFS and fibromyalgia.
The Stretford and Urmston MP joined the Salford and Trafford ME Group (SATMEG) at the Bevano Lounge, Urmston on May 20 for a discussion on their illness.
Ms Green was interested to note how Myalgic Encepholomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, and fibromyalgia have only minimal funding in the NHS. It is a physical illness that affects more people than MS or Parkinson's Disease.
Tony Fryer hosted the event along with Georgina Jameson of the South Manchester Fibromyalgia Group.
Mr Fryer said "We were extremely pleased with the meeting, Kate listened and took notes and promised to feed back to the group on the issues raised."
